Sail boat Corpus Christi port Texas - April 07th.

These past days I've been working on this seascape in oils based on the Corpus Christi coastal scapes.
I had a fine art show a couple of weeks ago in Corpus Christi, TX and it was my first time there so I took the opportunity to take photos of sea related views. So this year I'll be painting based on these pictures some seascapes, boats, palm trees and birds.
In this first painting I did an underpainting with ultramarine blue and then added the different layers of paint. Here are some pictures of the work in progress plus the finished work.
I changed the color of the sail for the purpose of color balance, so there is no orange.

Deep Ellum Arts Festival on review.

Last weekend the Deep Ellum Arts Festival took place at Deep Ellum as every year by these dates.
It was a great festival, and I was glad to see familiar faces, to meet new people supporting my art and as usual, I really enjoyed spending some days at this lively and eclectic Dallas neighborhood.
