As the visitor can tell by now, poppies are one of my favorite flowers to paint ! ... Painted on November 19th. this piece is a little larger than the usual 8 inches square canvases, I painted it with the same technique as the last posts, using a palette knife and thick paint strokes, impasto, alla prima.
